The Vision
The Kaleidostoop is where analog wonder meets digital dreams — a cosmic collision of classical optics and contemporary tools that invites citizens of Black Rock City to explore infinite geometric dimensions through the eyes of an intergalactic wanderer.
Our Star Sailor brings gifts of mesmerizing portals, but their true mission is to remind us that the most profound connections happen right here on Earth, on a simple stoop under an infinite sky.
This project lived in our dreams for years, evolving from late-night conversations on our camp's own humble stoop into a gathering place where digital fractals dance with desert sunlight.

Philosophical Underpinnings
Kaleidoscopes are analog, evocative of a childhood experience of wonder. Now, with digital art, the experience of the kaleidoscope can be renewed and technologically driven, suggesting a movement into a future or outer space.
The Kaleidostoop explores the dichotomies of analog and digital, personal and social, inward and outward, terrestrial and space, past and future.
