The Reading RoomЧИТАЛЬНЫЙ ЗАЛ
Each recollection as it was surrendered, awaiting a destruction that has not come. The Archive blacks out the names. Files it has not released stay sealed to visitors; cleared personnel read everything, unredacted. The Archive's attention is finite: a file no one consults for a week begins to fade. Reading it restores it.
